Everyone in Anchorage can get a free ride to the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6.
The city’s Public Transportation Department is offering free People Mover bus rides to everybody, all day long. Public transportation director Jamie Acton says People Mover is trying to make it easier for voters to get to the polls.
“Access to transportation is often cited as a potential barrier to voter participation and we are happy to help eliminate such barriers by offering our services to everyone, free of charge,” Acton said.
