Anchorage police have arrested a woman for shooting and killing a man early Tuesday morning.
Dispatch received a report of a suicide in the 1200 block of LaTouche Street around 12:30 a.m., according to a press release from the department. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man inside of an apartment shot in the upper body. He died after being transported to a local hospital.
The group was passing around a gun brought to the residence by the victim. At some point, the gun was handled by a woman and a shot was fired. The bullet struck the victim, the release stated.
