The Anchorage Police Department issued a traffic alert early Monday morning citing black ice and bad road conditions on the Glenn Highway from Eagle River to Boniface following a weekend of snow and wintry mix across Southcentral.
The APD alert reads as follows:
Traffic Alert: Use Caution when traveling on roadways as there are patches of black ice all over town. Officers also reporting bad road conditions on the Glenn Hwy from Eagle River to Boniface, the Seward between Dowling and 36th, and Minnesota between C St and International. Use Caution on this icy Presidents Day!
