Officials have issued an immediate evacuation order for residents of the Martin and Perfect Perch subdivisions.
The Alaska Incident Management Team managing the Shovel Creek Fire near Murphy Dome has recommended to Fairbanks North Star Borough Emergency Operations to raise the evacuation alerts.
The area was previously in a level 2 evacuation order that has been upgraded to a level 3 order — meaning residents must evacuate immediately.
