COVID-19 brings new technology to Alaska’s housing market

With fears of possibly catching the coronavirus, realtors are changing the way they sell homes to make it safe for both them and their customers. Virtual tours are the new thing for those selling homes in the age of COVID-19.

This type of technology is nothing new for Alaska realtor Sheila Monson. Monson, and her husband Kevin have been using the very latest state of the art equipment when showing homes to prospective buyers. Kevin has thousands of dollars of aerial photography gear. This allows him to present your home in a way many others can’t.

“From day one when I took over the marketing department for my wife, I insisted we had the very best in technology for this industry,” said Kevin.

“I come into your home and I do what is called a 3-D walking tour. That way anybody from out of state or anyone in the world can do a 3-D tour of your home and never step foot in it. This is not brand new for us. We’ve been doing this for a couple of years.”

If you are looking to sell your home, there are buyers out there looking. Sheila recommends you contact her. Her number is 907-841-0840. Check out her Alaska Living and Real Estate blog at SheilaMonson.com.
