A Washington state man will serve 10 years in prison for bilking people in Dillingham, and others, out of $2.7 million-- even taking advantage of a man with cancer who ended up losing his house in the scheme. That man ended up dying, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Anchorage.

The office says 56-year-old Floyd Jay Mann, Jr., of Washington state, told victims he won a multi-million dollar settlement from a class-action lawsuit against a pharmaceutical company, and that victims would receive a substantial return on their money if they helped Mann pay medical bills and lawsuit-related expenses.
