Climate change adviser?

How do we know campaign season is just around the corner? Gov. Bill Walker is looking for votes, and likely from independents and the left – certainly not Republicans.

To curry favor in those sectors, he – hold your hat – hired a senior climate change adviser at $145K annually, which is the same as his salary, the website mustreadalaska.com reports. Not only that but the adviser, hired in September, has been commuting by jet from Seattle to Alaska, at state expense, racking up more than 11,000 airline miles in a three-month period.

Alaskans are paying for the airline tickets, cab rides, hotels, and other travel-related expenses for Cayenne “Nikoosh” Carlo, according to travel documents through October that mustreadalaska.com obtained with a public records request.
