Gov. Bill Walker's new Climate Action for Leadership team is scheduled to meet for the first time Monday. Walker announced its 15 public members on Tuesday.
On the list is Anchorage's First Lady, Mara Kimmel, who helped craft a proposed Climate Action Plan for the Municipality of Anchorage in 2009. Now, she says the plan is gaining new traction.
In a live interview on KTVA's First Take, Kimmel discusses the implementation of the local action, and what she hopes to accomplish as a member of the state team.
