A shooting in Big Lake early Thursday has sent one person to an area hospital and another to jail.
Troopers said 46-year-old Big Lake resident Martin C. Vandever is charged with attempted murder in the case, according to an online dispatch. Troopers were called to the scene of the shooting, a home on West Masonic Court, just after 12:20 a.m.
“Investigation revealed [Vandever] shot an acquaintance after a verbal dispute,” troopers wrote. “The victim was transported to Mat-Su Regional (Medical Center) and is in stable condition.”
