A bike trail off the Glenn Highway where a moose attacked a cyclist on video Monday is being closed to traffic – although some trailgoers aren't heeding that warning.
Shannon McCarthy, a spokeswoman with the state Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, said Tuesday that crews were en route to add barricades on the closed section of trail, along the Glenn Highway bordering Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson north of the Arctic Valley Road exit. A cyclist went down after Monday’s attack, but wasn’t hurt, after a cow moose with calves nearby lunged at him.
