Two men were gravely wounded during a shooting early Saturday which remains under investigation, according to Anchorage police.
An initial report of shots fired, on the 3400 block of East 42nd Avenue – off Tudor Road near Elmore Road, near the University of Alaska Anchorage campus – was received by dispatchers at about 3 a.m., police said in a statement. Responding officers discovered that the shooting had taken place during a party at a townhouse in the area.
“During this time, there was an altercation between a group of people and multiple shots were fired,” police wrote. “Two adult males were shot multiple times in the upper and lower bodies. They were transported to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.”
