A man described as a vehicle prowler was shot and killed by Anchorage police officers early Thursday morning in Airport Heights, according to an APD Nixle alert.
APD says officers responded to East 16th Avenue and Columbine Street just after 2am after receiving a call concerning a "vehicle prowler"
According to reports, officers located an adult male suspect and shots were fired. The suspect was struck and transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries, where he was pronounced dead at 2:45am.
