Former Judge Claims She Was Injured When Cops Dragged Her Out Of Courtroom

A former judge who was dragged out of the courtroom after being ordered to serve a six-month jail sentence says that the deputies mistreated her. Former Hamilton County juvenile judge Tracie Hunter filed a grievance against the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office claiming that she was injured as the officers dragged her from the courtroom.

Sheriff Jim Neil was handed the grievance when he went to check on Hunter, who is being housed in the medical unit at the Hamilton County Justice Center. Officials are not able to disclose her injuries but have launched an investigation into what happened in court on Monday (July 22).

Bishop Bobby Hilton, President of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter National Action Network, visited Hunter in jail and said that she is pain and has not yet received medical attention. He explained that she has a metal rod in her spine from a severe car accident that nearly took her life when she was younger and told WLWT that she "never would have intentionally positioned herself to be dragged out of court."

Hunter was convicted of illegally helping her brother keep his job with Hamilton County in 2014 but has maintained her innocence. After failing to overturn the conviction through various appeals, she was ordered to serve her original six-month prison sentence on Monday.
