The University of Alaska Board of Regents was given a deadline of Oct. 31 by Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities President Sonny Ramaswamy to address concerns he and the accrediting agency have regarding the university system.

On Monday afternoon, the UA Board of Regents held a special meeting to address the concerns and review the response before voting to approve and send it.

"We've had a process going with the chancellors and the leadership of the board and the president to put that response together," BOR chair John Davies said.
