Anchorage Police Department says police are investigating the death of a man found Sunday. According to a community alert, APD is investigating the man's death as a homicide.
Police say a suspicious death of a man found dead in a vehicle was reported at 1 p.m. on the 4000 block of Merrill Drive near the Spenard area.
"The preliminary investigation found that the adult male victim suffered trauma to the body," police wrote. "Detectives have cause to believe this is an isolated incident and there is no public safety threat at this time."
