Alaska's senior senator says workers for the U.S. Postal Service will continue to get their paychecks, but she was less certain about the future of the government agency.
It was one of the areas Sen. Lisa Murkowski said was not fully addressed in the first round of a multi-trillion-dollar aid package passed by Congress. A second batch of funding is currently being negotiated.
Murkowski joined Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz at a community briefing Monday to discuss the municipality and the federal government's response to COVID-19.
