On Monday, the state of Alaska and Fred Meyer announced they were forming a partnership to provide free drive-thru COVID-19 testing.
"We continue to make decisions that balance the safety of our associates with our commitments to our customers and communities," said Fred Meyer President Dennis Gibson in a press release. "That is why Fred Meyer and Kroger Health will be donating all professional services at drive-thru testing facilities, these services include ordering and observing the COVID-19 tests.”
The first testing site set up for this week is in Eagle River at the Alliance Christian Fellowship Church located at 16620 Brooks Loop. The site will be open on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
