New website launches for Anchorage CARES Act funding information

The Anchorage Assembly's new website allows people to view and provide feedback on the municipality's Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act funding. 

The Municipality of Anchorage received $156 million in CARES Act dollars to mitigate local costs of COVID-19. Around $22.5 million has already been allocated. Anchorage Assembly members are expected to vote on approving more than $133 million Tuesday night. 

These are the proposed dollar amounts and what the money may be used for, according to a release from the assembly:

-Economic stimulus: $16,130,000

-Family support: $15,250,000

-Housing and homelessness: $38,000,000

-Public health and safety: $28,250,000

-Community investments: $5,760,000

-Municipal response: $29,598,566
