Chick-fil-A Is Now Testing A Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich

Here's something to look forward to—a new chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A.

On Monday (September 14), Chick-fil-A announced its testing a new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich at select locations in the United States. The fast food chain hopes to take its classic chicken sandwich to "another level" with this latest menu offering.

According to the press release, the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is "a twist" of their fan-favorite chicken sandwich. It features a chicken filet drizzled with honey, topped with pimento cheese and served on a warm, toasted bun with mild pickled jalapeños. Sounds pretty good, right?

“This is the first variation of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich we’ve tested as a seasonal item,” Chef Stuart Tracy, one of Chick-fil-A’s senior culinary developers, said in a statement. “We have a feeling Guests will love it.”

If you're worried this sandwich might be too spicy for you, it's actually meant to be the "perfect balance" of savory sweet and spicy. “The jalapeños add what we call ‘entry-level’ spice,” Chef Tracy explained. “They give the sandwich just a little kick, bringing a Southwest influence that pairs well with honey and pimento cheese.”

The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will be tested for a limited time at participating restaurants in Upstate South Carolina and the Asheville, North Carolina area. Guests in the area can try the sandwich beginning September 14, while supplies last.
