'Duck Dynasty' Star Willie Robertson Victim Of Drive-By Shooting

It was a scary day on Friday for Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson. At about 2:30 in the afternoon, someone drove by his Louisiana estate and fired eight to ten shots into it. One of the bullets went through the window of the bedroom where his son, John Luke Robertson, lives with his wife, Mary Kate McEachern, and their infant.

While thankfully no one was injured in the shooting, it was upsetting for the family. Robertson told USA Today, "We were pretty shook up. It looks like they were just spraying bullets across my property." That's no easy task either - the Robertson home is set far back from the road and is behind a fence.

It was a close call too - Willie revealed he had just been outside five minutes before the shooting started. Robertson's daughter, former Dancing with the Stars contestant Sadie Robertson, also lives on the property with her husband, Christian Huff. She posted about the incident on Instagram writing,

"hi, yes the news is true if you’ve seen it. We had someone shoot at our property. Just wanted to say we are all okay. It shook us all up of course, but we are just so thankful everyone in our family is okay. Especially after one of the bullets flew through the window of my brothers home... The timing of where we were at the time was crazy protection because we had all just gone inside. We have been resting on Psalm 91 and each other’s gratitude for all being okay ❤️ thank you for your prayers.

Witnesses saw a track pass by the estate just before the shooting. The vehicle was also captured on a surveillance camera.

Not long after, authorities made an arrest, charging 38-year-old Daniel King Jr. with one count of aggravated assault by drive by shooting and one count of criminal neglect of family. Bond has been set for him at $150,000. No word on why King fired at the home.
