A Pennsylvania man who worked in Alaska as a game guide has lost his ability to do so, after admitting to not cleaning bear bait stations in the Skwentna area.

Clifford Smith, 41, had his guiding license permanently revoked as a result of the case, according to an online Alaska State Troopers dispatch.

“Additionally, Smith was fined $23,000 with $18,000 suspended, placed on probation for one year during which he may not hunt, and is required to provide photographic proof that he cleaned up the bait stations,” troopers wrote.
